Song 66 "Isolated Jane" (I)

Beat sounds can be on/off by MUTE button – Track 7

Jane is out there on her own with a zip to build her up and then leave her. This week she was plunged into darkness but her song was recorded while she still breathed the open air.

Anatoly Davydov is creating music for song 23 “One Country World Tour”. He has changed the time from 4/3 to 4/4 and added a bluegrass element. It will be fun to sing this one again.

The Schizopolitans have a new website to accompany their new album. They are onto something. Sample it here.

tapecase / rhan small and family pictures have added content to the “ideas for a movie” site, including a trailer and synopsis for the film. Visit them here.

Marty Galvin, a semi local poet, has given me three poems to set to music (?) as I see fit.

“Jane” Marks the end of “Beat Sounds”. A new album, “Waddle and Daub”, will begin with the November release.

Song 65 "BLUECASTLE / Busy Sunday" (II)

Beat sounds can be on/off by MUTE button – Track 6

Early morning recording is the only way to go around here in the summer time.

A note to the artist:

Work where you are and when you can. Do not wait to work until conditions are right. Do not hold your work in higher esteem than the work of those around you. The work they do is a part of your work. Resist the urge to judge yourself by anyone’s standards but your own. Artist’s who make a lot of money are not paid to make art. They are paid to endure the nearly intolerable (and sometimes crippling) inconveniences of popularity.

Innocent armour

Quiet men working

The work has been mostly visual of late. “Bluecastle” came fast leaving me room to breath and the money job has been extraordinarily demanding. I like having a web page which is constantly under construction. A house is not always a good place to record and sing. Some times it makes more sense to sit and quietly work on the images which will accompany past and future sounds.

Song 65 "BLUECASTLE" (I)

Beat sounds can be on/off by MUTE button – Track 6

PEOPLE LOSE PREOCCUPATION WITH PRINCE OF DARKNESS
(Scientist’s say they see fewer embers)

In truth it is the devil himself who is taking a beating on this record. BLUECASTLE is a folk tale from the kudzu draped hills of North Carolina. Do YOU remember that time under the train tunnel?

Song 64 "All Aboard!" (III)

Beat sounds can be on/off by MUTE button – Track 5

RELEASE: “All Aboard

All is All Aboard and recorded all over the dog chewing house! It is neither about redemption nor having to say you are sorry. A baby acts like a baby because it is a baby. It would never guess that violence serves as one big reminder of immaturity. Supernatural nature permits one sun to rain on woman and one on man.

Oh, and by the way-

I am an American can turn into I am un-American in a heartbeat.

And back again…
