Promises, Promises...

Never a rose garden!

I promise, when I go, I will just disappear. No long goodbyes and reasons while I drag my heels rolling up the tent. No lingering on the threshold muttering about how long we tried and our good intentions. No passive aggressive comments directed toward anyone including myself. It is amazing how many times I have run into the remnants of peoples big ideas on the internet, which did not take off for whatever reason and all that is left of them is some bizarre goodbye. You will get none of that from me.

I promise to make music that I find interesting. My wife told me that people should design websites that reflect who they are. I think she is right. The internet is only as interesting as people are willing to make it. Advertising is everywhere and websites that think they know what you want to be looking at and listening to are a dime a dozen. The Wild, Wild Web is big enough to document it all and then some.

I promise to write songs that contain private jokes, jargon, vernacular, insects, dreams and drudgery.

I promise to not restate these promises if I can help it.
